Ambassador Donates Enterprise Challenge Profits to Support Local Children at Christmas

Y9 Ambassador, Ami, of Yewlands Academy recently took part in an Enterprise challenge which was showcased at Magna Science Adventure Centre in December.

She impressed teachers and peers at the showcase, where Ambassadors demonstrated and sold products they had been working on over the previous months as part of the Better Learners, Better Workers programme. However, it wasn’t just her hard work in the challenge, but her generosity and selflessness that shone through.

Ami pledged to use the profits made from the challenge to support Hallam FM’s Mission Christmas and went on to build bears for the Cash for Kids campaign. The campaign aims to ensure that children living poverty wake up to a present on Christmas morning, and Ami’s donation helped to support these local children.

The 2017 campaign supported 25,255 local children with £1,322,750 of gifts and cash donations.

Well done Ami for your contribution to this great cause!
