Young People & Families
Young people are at the heart of the Better Learners, Better Workers programme. They are provided with opportunities to develop leadership and other key skills that employers value most in the workplace, through engaging directly with Business Champions from businesses within the sector.
By becoming a Better Learners, Better Workers Ambassador, young people represent their school, chosen sector and the programme itself. Ambassadors are carefully selected through an interview process before enrolling on a high quality ‘World of Work’ programme. This involves meeting with leading companies, organisations and individuals who help young people to develop the skills and attributes needed for success.
As an Ambassador, young people are expected to take their experience back into school and share their learning with their peers through activities such as classroom based activities, assemblies, workshops and careers fairs. This also offers networking opportunities and further skills development.
